Welcome!

My name is Matthew Hanson, and I have the tremendous privilege of joining Ford High School as one of the Assistant Principals. The 2022-2023 school year will mark the tenth year of my career in education, throughout which I have worked in a variety of roles spanning K-12 including social studies teacher and varsity coach, instructional coach, and dean of instruction. I earned my bachelor's degree in history from Texas Tech University and was later awarded the opportunity to complete my master's degree as a Principal Fellow in the TTU and National Institute for Excellence in Teaching Principal Fellows Program.

 

It is my objective as an Assistant Principal to develop innovative and proven effective classroom supports, provide guidance as a mentor and coach to teachers, and create a positive school culture that partners with community members in order for students to have the best possible educational experience and fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth, preparing them to succeed throughout their academic careers and into their professional lives.
