TWO GIRL Powerlifters STATE BOUND - Ten Represent and Five Place at Regionals!
Ten girls competed in a weekend regional championship competition in Longview at Pine Tree High School. We had five girls earn a place with two state qualifiers!
State Bound Alecs Burch - 105lb class placed 1st with a 765lb total. Alecs Burch also tied the regional bench record at 165 and set new regional records for deadlift at 320 and overall total at 765.
State Bound Brooke Roby - 148lb class placed 2nd with an 820lb total.
Cecilia Rodriguez -114lb class placed 5th with a 540lb total.
Delaney Fulgham - 198lb class placed 4th with an 800lb total.
Belinda Yanez - 220lb class placed 4th with a 770lb total.
According to FHS Girls Powerlifting Coach Taner Renfro, "Mr. Pamplin and I would like to congratulate these ladies on their accomplishments this season. We have enjoyed coaching and pushing these girls to strive for excellence and be their best on and off the platform. We couldn't have asked for a better group of girls representing our school district!"
