About me:

As a 1994 Quinlan ISD graduate I am proud to be back serving my community as a Registered Nurse for Ford High School. I started my journey to nursing school while working for Thompson Middle School as a receptionist for eight years. After completing my nursing degree from Trinity Valley Community College, earning an Associate of Applied Science in Nursing, I began my career as a Registered Nurse at Lake Pointe Medical Center. I began there working nights on the medical/surgical unit where my main focus was geriatric care. Close to a year I was granted the opportunity to work in Day surgery where I broadened my scope of practice with a wide range of procedures involving  patients of all ages. In 2013, I was blessed to return to Quinlan ISD where I began my new role in the realm of school nursing at D.C. Cannon. 

 

I am married to a wonderful husband who is also a Quinlan ISD graduate, a mother to two sons, one who is a 2011 Quinlan ISD graduate, and one future graduate. I am also proud to have my beautiful daughter in law who, you guessed it, is also a Quinlan ISD graduate, and last but not least I am a Gigi to a beautiful grandson who has our heart.
