Welcome to Mrs. Duncan's Cosmetology Page

My name is Ava Duncan, and this is my 6th year at Quinlan ISD as the Cosmetology Instructor. I am a Trinity Valley Community College Alumni. I have 12 yrs. of experience of teaching cosmetology already, so I'm excited to teach the next generation of stylist. I have been a Licensed Cosmetologist with extra certification in Professional Make-up, Chemical Peel Technician, and Body Wrap Technician with 18 yrs. experience. I have been a stylist behind the chair, I have managed and owned a private salon, I have experience with special effects makeup and have Commercial to my credit also. Cosmetology has more to it than just hair, nails, and makeup to explore for the students to expand their ever-changing horizons. From the Ice Age to our present day, Cosmetology has constantly evolved over time to keep up with new trends, new technology, and new services. This helps clients on their journey of ever changing self images and self expressions and to be able to help people with self confidence show the world around them who they truly are through a wide range of Cosmetology services.
